MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Hi, I’m Del Knight, PsyD, LPC, LMHC (they/them)

Telehealth across Oregon and Washington, from wherever you feel safest.

I’m a queer + trans/nonbinary trauma therapist, and the human (plus four animals) behind Soma Roots Therapy. I am trauma-informed which means I  will only go as fast as the slowest part of you. I am warm, collaborative, and curious. Never clinical or cold.

Decolonial + liberatory frameworks are the ground I work from, as therapy is not separate from justice.

Certified Body Trust® Specialist

Approved Clinical Supervisor

IFS & Somatic-trained

HOW THERAPY CAN HELP

What we work toward together.

Not a promise of a perfect outcome — three shifts most people notice first.

_______________________________________________

Feel safer in your body

Somatic work, grounding, and nervous-system regulation — so you can come back to yourself instead of bracing against the world.

_______________________________________________

Reduce masking and burnout

We look at the link between identity, adaptation, and exhaustion, and find where you can put the armor down.

_______________________________________________

Build a life that feels like yours

Not a perfect outcome — a next step. Boundaries, relationships, and a version of your days you actually want.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Three steps, and none of them are a leap.

You never have to commit to more than the next step.

Feel safer in your body

A short video call, very short consult form, and
no charge. Your questions answered, we both
decide whether this feels right.

Intake session

We cover history and paperwork, start
with what brought you here, and set
a direction together.

First session + ongoing work

From here it’s real therapy, at a pace we set
together. What you want out of this is
revisited, not assumed.

No obligation after the consult — and if we are not the right fit, we will point you somewhere that is.
